Job description

We are seeking a Battery/Fuel Cell Test Technician to join our Electrification and Battery Testing team.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive tests of battery and/or fuel cell systems, including electrical performance, environmental resilience, safety protocols, and durability assessments.

Your responsibilities will encompass testing at the cell, module, and pack levels. Collaborating with the team members and customers, you will ensure tests are set up and executed in the most efficient and effective manner. Collecting test data along the way to include in reporting for the customer which will inform design improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Interview process will involve a short MS teams interview followed by successful applicants invited to meet with us on site for a competency based interview which will include a work sample test so we can understand your technical capabilities.

Please note;

  • This role will involve working outdoors in all weathers throughout the year- appropriate PPE and clothing will be provided.
  • A full UK drivers licence is required for this role.
  • Security clearance will be required for this role.
  • 39 hours a week - standard hours 0830 - 1630 Mon to Thurs and 0830 - 1600 Fri with a 30 mins lunch each day. Hours can be flexed - to be discussed at interview.
  • They may be occasional overtime/shift working available and would require flexibility within working hours.
