Job summary

St Peter's CofE Academy in Wiltshire seeks a Teaching Assistant/HLTA to support teaching and learning across KS1 and EYFS, including EHCP pupils. The HLTA aspect involves planned cover and high-quality lesson delivery with assessment and resource adaptation.

The TA portion covers KS2 SEND support and ELSA-therapy interventions. You should have an HLTA qualification or equivalent, be confident under pressure, and committed to professional conduct.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, willingness to study.
• Experience delivering high-quality lessons and planning/assessment.
• Experience with pupils with EHCP and SEND essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and learning support in KS1 and EYFS as HLTA.
• Deliver planned cover and adapt resources for diverse learners.
• Support children with EHCP, speech and language needs and SEND.
• Run interventions for social and emotional needs (ELSA).
