Job description

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant at Wild Bank Community School, Demesne Drive, Stalybridge, SK15 2PG.

Wild Bank is a one-form entry school with 31 staff members and 146 pupils aged 3 to 11. The school motto is ‘Working together we can achieve our best’.

Start date: Monday, 1st September 2025
End date: 31st August 2026
Position: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (full-time, fixed-term)
Salary: £30,060-£32,654 (full-time), actual salary £15,899-£17,271 (part-time 22 hours 15 minutes per week, Term Time Only, TMBC Grade F Point 17-22)

Working schedule: Tuesday 08:15-16:00, Wednesday 08:15-16:30, Thursday 08:15-16:00.

We are a small, friendly school with dedicated staff and delightful children. The HLTA will cover PPA for all classes across the school (from Early Years to Year 6) in the afternoons. Flexibility to cover other classes and provide small group support is required. The role also includes a 30-minute lunch duty daily.

Experience working with a range of age groups is desirable.
