HLTA Opportunity Specialist Learning Provision

Location: Manchester

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM 3:45 PM

Contract: Full-Time

Salary: £22,500 - £27,000 (dependent on experience)

GSL Education Manchester is collaborating with a supportive and well-resourced primary school to find a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their specialist Learning Provision. This role is set to commence in September 2025.

About the Role:

You'll be joining a close-knit team, working alongside another experienced TA to support approximately six high-needs pupils, the eldest currently in Year 3. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes:

Delivering tailored interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

Providing personal care support, including nappy changing.

Engaging in sensory activities and structured interventions aligned with EHCP targets.

Creating a nurturing and safe environment for pupils with complex needs.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified HLTA status (or equivalent Level 4+ qualification).

Experience in SEN settings, particularly with high-needs pupils.

Confidence in delivering personalized learning support.

Comfort with personal care responsibilities.

A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behavior and care needs.
