Job summary

Hays Education partners with a welcoming primary school in Dudley to recruit an HLTA who will provide PPA cover across EYFS and KS1 and lead targeted interventions for small groups. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet diverse needs and support children to build confidence in their learning.

Qualifications

• HLYA qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience covering PPA in a primary school setting.
• Confident in leading whole-class teaching across EYFS and KS1.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions to small groups.
• Strong understanding of EYFS Framework and KS1 curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons during PPA cover across EYFS and KS1.
• Lead targeted intervention groups to support pupil progress.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to class teachers.
• Create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work with teachers and senior leaders to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
