We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA to join our team in Portsmouth. This role involves supporting classroom activities, promoting students' educational and social growth, and helping create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  2. Support the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  3. Provide individualized or small-group support to meet diverse learning needs.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, sharing feedback with the teacher.
  5. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  6. Support students during playtime and lunch to encourage positive social interactions.
  7. Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and needs.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational setting is preferred.
  2. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 4 HLTA certificate or a Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, are highly desirable.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a team setting.
