Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is partnering with a welcoming school near Peterborough to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This full-time role starts in September and focuses on supporting teaching and learning across the setting.

The HLTA will deliver planned lessons in teacher absence, differentiate activities with staff, model effective teaching strategies, and provide feedback to support pupil progress and behaviour management. A Level 4 TA or HLTA qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum and how to adapt teaching to support different learners.
• Confidence managing groups of pupils independently.
• HLTA status or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Support the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons with teaching staff to meet varying pupil needs.
• Use structured teaching strategies to support pupil progress.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and support behaviour management through consistent expectations.
