Job Title: HLTA
Location: Warrington
Minimum Rate of Pay: 17.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about outdoor learning, inclusive education, and inspiring children through physical activity and sport? Our unique Forest School in Warrington is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in sports coaching and physical education to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE and sports sessions tailored to individual and group needs.

  • Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress, contributing to integrated care plans.

  • Collaborate with the Teacher in Charge to co-plan lessons and develop creative resources.

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes participation and achievement.

  • Organise and lead school sports events, competitions, and physical activity initiatives.

  • Uphold safeguarding standards and work within the statutory educational framework.

  • Maintain effective communication with pupils, parents, and the wider staff team.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and CPD opportunities.



Qualifications and Experience:

  • A good standard of education (degree level preferred).

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Demonstrated experience working as a TA/HLTA in a school or alternative provision.

  • Proven background in sports coaching, ideally within an educational setting.

  • Sound understanding of the national curriculum and strategies for differentiation.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
