Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Taunton

Pay: Starting at £100 per day

ANZUK Education is recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant's (HLTA's) for Primary Schools near Taunton!

We are currently looking for experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant's who are ready to take on additional responsibilities, including covering classes and assisting with planning and teaching lessons. Responsibilities of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in the absence of the teacher
  • Assisting pupils in their learning and helping prepare the classroom
  • Coordinating group activities with various groups of pupils
  • Working in accordance with the school's policies
  • Providing frequent feedback to both parents and other members of staff
Requirements of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
  • Demonstrate a minimum of six months of hands-on experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safeguarding
  • Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom, with appropriate documentation
  • Demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills, highlighting the skill to engage with students of varied learning needs
  • Display patience, empathy, and a genuine dedication to supporting children, especially those with SEN and SEMH requirements
  • Capable of collaborating effectively within a team, cultivating an inclusive learning environment
Please note: Possession of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Degree-level qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
