Job description

Aspire People are looking to appoint a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join one of our client mainstream primary schools to join their team supporting high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers to deliver high-quality teaching that drives pupil progress and raises standards
- Lead targeted group interventions and demonstrate measurable impact on pupil outcomes
- Provide cover supervision in line with teachers' planning, ensuring continuity of learning
- Assist with marking and assessment tasks under teacher guidance
- Contribute to the creation of stimulating, safe, and well-organised learning environments through displays and classroom organisation
- Support pupil assessment through observations, record-keeping, and discussions with staff and parents
- Foster positive relationships between home and school, engaging parents and liaising with external agencies as needed
- Work flexibly across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 settings

Candidate Profile:
- Holds a relevant HLTA qualification, Level 4 Diploma, or equivalent; candidates working towards qualification will also be considered
- Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills
- Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
- Able to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
