About the role

Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Redruth
Salary: £13.68 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, ASAP

About the Role

This full-time position involves working closely with pupils who have additional learning needs, delivering small-group and individual support, and leading lessons during teachers’ PPA time, leadership cover, and training sessions.

You’ll be part of a nurturing, inclusive school environment that prioritises the needs of all learners. The school supports pupils across a wide range of abilities and encourages independence, resilience, and positive engagement.

Responsibilities

As a HLTA in the school, your role will include:

Leading and managing small group or individual sessions

Supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs

Creating and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment

Assisting in planning and delivering tailored learning activities

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a strong understanding of how children with additional needs learn

Is confident managing and delivering learning activities

Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Is organised, flexible, and committed to inclusion

Has experience in SEN or specialist settings (desirable but not essential)
