Supply Desk Southampton is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a Good Ofsted-rated primary school from September. The HLTA will support teaching and learning, lead some classes, and deliver targeted interventions.

Applicants should have HLTA status or CACHE Level 3 (or a related degree), strong communication, a current DBS, and the right to work in the UK. The school offers wellbeing, CPD, and opportunities to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience in primary setting is required.
• Strong communication and a proactive approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class sessions using prepared lesson plans.
• Deliver small-group interventions (SEND and catch‑up support).
• Support behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
• Plan, adapt and evaluate learning with teachers.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress.
