Job summary

Gnosall St Lawrence CE Primary Academy, part of St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust, is seeking an experienced HLTA to provide PPA cover on-site in Staffordshire. The role is temporary until January 2027 or until the current staff member returns, and is term-time only with 32.5 hours scheduled per week.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA experience, deliver learning activities as directed, monitor pupil progress, mark work, and record achievements for reporting to teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Have experience of working in a similar HLTA role.
• Deliver learning activities as set by the teacher.
• Monitor students’ progress throughout learning activities.
• Mark work accordingly and provide feedback.
• Record and report pupils’ achievements to teaching staff.
• Monitor progress and development of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide PPA cover under supervision of teaching staff.
• Deliver learning activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Monitor pupil progress and assist with assessments.
• Mark and annotate student work as required.
• Record progress and communicate outcomes to the teaching team.
• Support school development and pupil welfare.
