Job summary

The Passmores Co-operative Learning Community (PCLC) is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the Autism Support Centre. You will work 33.5 hours per week across 39 school weeks, supporting pupils with autism and SEND, delivering targeted interventions and maintaining progress records.

The ASC Lead will guide your work, with potential to deputise when needed. Location is at PCLC Primary Autism Support Centre (Potter Street Academy or The Downs Primary School).

Qualifications

• Experience working with autistic children and SEND.
• Understanding of autism-specific strategies.
• Ability to deliver structured interventions and support learning effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality, adaptive teaching within the ASC.
• Deliver autism-specific programmes and approaches.
• Deliver targeted interventions (phonics, literacy, numeracy, fine motor, speech language & communication).
• Support pupils to achieve EHCP outcomes and develop academic, social, emotional skills.
