Job summary

The Warriner School in the Oxfordshire countryside near Banbury is seeking a HLTA for Communication and Interaction. This permanent post runs 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15am–3.25pm, term-time plus one inset week. The role supports teaching children with SEND and promotes full inclusion across school life.

The successful candidate will bring motivation, initiative and strong communication and numeracy skills, with a commitment to teamwork and high expectations for students.

Role Overview

The Warriner School is a popular choice for families in the local area for their children with Special Educational Needs, due to the inclusive ethos of the school and the many opportunities that the school offers.

The role of the HLTA Communication and Interaction is to effectively assess and identify Communication and Interaction (C&I) difficulties and offer strategies to support teaching children with SEND (communication and Interaction needs) and to support and facilitate the full inclusion of students with C&I needs in the academic and social life of the school.

As a consistently oversubscribed, expanding school we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA for Communication and Interaction, to join our thriving and successful team.

This will be a permanent post to work 32.5hrs per week over Mon-Fri, 8.15am to 3.25pm (to include 40min unpaid lunch break) Term Time Only plus one additional week (Inset days). The Grade for the role is Grade 6 Point 8 £26,824 Pro Rata. Actual salary £20,171.
