Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Taunton

Pay: Starting at GBP100 per day

ANZUK Education is recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Primary Schools near Taunton!

We are currently looking for experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistants who are ready to take on additional responsibilities, including covering classes and assisting with planning and teaching lessons. Responsibilities of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:
  1. Deliver pre-planned lessons to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in the absence of the teacher
  2. Assist pupils in their learning and help prepare the classroom
  3. Coordinate group activities with various groups of pupils
  4. Work in accordance with the school's policies
  5. Provide frequent feedback to both parents and other members of staff
Requirements of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
  1. Demonstrate a minimum of six months of hands-on experience working with children in an educational setting
  2. Hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safeguarding
  3. Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom, with appropriate documentation
  4. Demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills, highlighting the ability to engage with students of varied learning needs
  5. Display patience, empathy, and a genuine dedication to supporting children, especially those with SEN and SEMH requirements
  6. Capable of collaborating effectively within a team, cultivating an inclusive learning environment

Please note: Possession of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Degree-level qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
