Are you a passionate HLTA looking for your next rewarding opportunity? One of our valued client primary schools in Stoke is seeking a dedicated and flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team and provide high-quality class cover across the school.


Location: Stoke
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Full-time / Part-time roles available


The Role:

As an HLTA, your main responsibility will be to provide class cover support across the school - from Nursery to Year 6 - delivering engaging and high-standard teaching and learning. This role is ideal for someone confident in managing a class and inspiring young learners across all key stages.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (EYFS to KS2)
  2. Support the academic and emotional development of pupils
  3. Provide high-quality learning experiences in line with school expectations
  4. Adapt to different classrooms and build positive relationships with both pupils and staff
  5. Maintain high expectations for both pupil achievement and your own professional standards

About You:

  1. Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  2. Have recent, relevant experience within a primary school setting
  3. Confident in leading whole class teaching and managing behaviour effectively
  4. Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential
  5. Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to new environments
