Higher Level Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary: 25,183 - 28,624 (H4/H5 dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full time, 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: ASAP or September
Contract Type: Temporary or Permanent

Are you a dedicated and experienced HLTA looking for your next rewarding role in a thriving primary school? A vibrant and welcoming school in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to appoint a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support their Key Stage 2 team.

Your Role as a KS2 HLTA:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons during PPA cover and short-term teacher absence, primarily in Key Stage 2.
  • Plan and run targeted intervention sessions for individuals and small groups to support academic progress.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers to tailor support for a variety of learning needs.
  • Take part in lunchtime duties and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic in supporting pupils' academic and social development.

The ideal candidate will have solid classroom experience and be looking to progress further in their career within education. This is a perfect stepping stone for aspiring teachers or experienced support staff wanting a new challenge.
