Job summary

Knole Academy in Sevenoaks is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils with targeted interventions and small group sessions. The post holder will provide classroom assistance and adapt learning to meet diverse needs.

The role is 27.5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks plus one extra week), with salary in the AAT Grade D range.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification (or working towards) required.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Experience of working with young people in an educational setting.
• Primary school experience would be an advantage.

HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT (HLTA)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA to support our students planning, preparing and delivering targeted interventions or small group sessions. The postholder will be expected to provide classroom support and tailor learning to meet the needs of all learners. The successful candidate will have an HLTA qualification (or be working towards it) with strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills and experience of working with young people in an educational setting. Primary school experience would be ab advantage.

Salary will be paid according to experience AAT Grade D £27,904 - £29,020

(equates to £18,984 - £19,743 per annum for term time working)

27.5 hours per week (Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 3:00 pm, Fri 8:30 - 3:00 pm),

38 weeks term time plus one week.
