Are you passionate about helping students who have struggled in mainstream education find their path to success? Do you have the dedication and commitment to support young people as they gain valuable skills and qualifications?

About Them:
A vocational training centre specializing in providing secondary students with practical skills in hair and beauty, as well as construction, is looking for a HLTA to join their team full time. Their aim is to equip students with the tools they need to further their education and achieve the qualifications required to continue onto college. We believe in offering a supportive and nurturing environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in helping our students navigate their educational journey. Your week will be varied and engaging, with two days dedicated to pastoral care and intervention, and three days spent supporting teachers in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing pastoral care to students, offering emotional and academic support to help them overcome challenges.
• Implementing intervention strategies to re-engage students who have struggled in mainstream education.
• Assisting teachers in delivering lessons, with a focus on vocational training in hair and beauty, and construction.
• Supporting students in developing practical skills that will prepare them for further education and future careers.
• Working closely with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.

About You:
