Ormiston Queensmill Academy in London seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the Teaching and Learning Team, supporting autistic pupils and learners with specific learning difficulties.

You will back pupils' self-regulation, lead small groups or short sessions, and maintain records on attendance, behaviour and progress to support teachers and planning.

Competenze

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
• NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or HLTA standards, or working towards it
• Experience working with children
• Experience with autistic pupils (nice to have)

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant post sits in the Teaching and Learning Team at Ormiston Queensmill Academy, a school for autistic children and young people and those with other specific learning difficulties. The work centres on backing pupils' self-regulation and emotional wellbeing, and on teaching groups or short whole-class sessions, with records kept of attendance, behaviour and progress. The academy's purpose-built site and autism-specific resources shape the setting. Applicants need an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or HLTA standards, or to be working towards them, and visa sponsorship is not available.
