Position: Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Long-Term Role
Salary: £95 - £105 per day (Dependent on Experience)


Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a long-term role at a primary school in Melton Mowbray. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated HLTA looking to take on a rewarding position, working closely with teachers to support the academic and social development of students.

You will be working in a dynamic and supportive school environment, assisting with both group and individual learning, and contributing to the overall learning experience for students across various year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality support to teachers, assisting with lesson delivery and the preparation of learning materials.
Lead small group interventions and support children with varying learning needs, helping them access the curriculum.
Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
Assist in planning and assessing learning activities, providing feedback and guidance to students.
Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive, calm, and productive learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, working closely with the class teacher to adjust support as needed.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and provide tailored interventions.
Take on a supervisory role when necessary, supporting pupils in a range of school activities.

What We Are Looking For:

Level 4 (or above) HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in UK primary schools, ideally within Melton Mowbray or surrounding areas.
Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and experience with both whole class and small group teaching.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the classroom, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring all students are supported and engaged in their learning.
Passionate about helping children reach their full potential and committed to providing an inclusive learning environment.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Full-time availability for a long-term role.
