Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons during teacher PPA cover

  • Leading targeted intervention groups in literacy and numeracy

  • Supporting pupils with SEN, including EHCPs

  • Creating engaging classroom displays and resources

  • Promoting positive behaviour strategies and restorative practice

  • Collaborating with teachers on assessment and planning

Requirements:

  • Recognised HLTA qualification or Level 3 with substantial classroom experience

  • Proficient understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculum

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Phonics knowledge (e.g. Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc.)

  • Ability to lead whole-class sessions

  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to obtain one)
