A dynamic and inclusive school seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start in September 2025. This school is looking to appoint a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, inclusive school where staff are passionate about pupil progress and well-being. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an HLTA:
Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
Lead whole-class lessons during teacher absence or PPA time.
Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
Work with individuals or small groups to support learning, particularly those with SEND or who require additional support.
Contribute to planning and delivering interventions.
Assist in maintaining a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal HLTA:
HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification.
Proven experience working in a school setting, ideally at Key Stage 1, 2 or 3.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required).
Good behaviour management skills and the ability to use a range of strategies to support learning as an HLTA.
A flexible, proactive, and professional attitude.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
