Play a key role in supporting learning and raising achievement.
This school is looking to appoint a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, inclusive school where staff are passionate about pupil progress and well-being. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as an HLTA:

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.

• Lead whole-class lessons during teacher absence or PPA time.

• Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.

• Work with individuals or small groups to support learning, particularly those with SEND or who require additional support.

• Contribute to planning and delivering interventions.

• Assist in maintaining a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal HLTA:

• HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Proven experience working in a school setting, ideally at Key Stage 1, 2 or 3.

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required).

• Good behaviour management skills and the ability to use a range of strategies to support learning as an HLTA.

• A flexible, proactive, and professional attitude.

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
