Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Tower Hamlets

Location: Tower Hamlets, near Stepney Green Station
Salary: £110 - £130 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant ready to step up or an existing HLTA looking for a new challenge.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead whole-class lessons when required.
  • Provide targeted support to small groups and individual students.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Support students with additional learning needs.
  • Help maintain a structured and positive classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience as an HLTA or a strong background as a Teaching Assistant.
  • HLTA qualification (preferred) or equivalent classroom leadership experience.
  • Ability to work across different year groups.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
