Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Halifax

Job Description:

A Halifax school in the HX1 area is seeking an experienced HLTA to join their team on a long-term basis. The role involves supporting pupils and staff, contributing to high standards and achievements. Responsibilities include assisting with behavioural management, delivering lessons, and potentially planning and delivering classes during unplanned absences. 1:1 support may also be required.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience providing exceptional support to staff and pupils
  • Passion for supporting and caring for pupils' needs
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent to a level 4 NVQ
  • Experience supporting teachers in and out of the classroom
  • Ability to motivate and encourage pupils
  • Experience managing classroom behaviour and incidents
  • Effective communication with staff and professional reporting skills
Additional Information:
  • Hours: Term time, Monday-Friday
  • Pay: GBP 90-GBP 110 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time
