St Michael's CofE VA Junior School is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our pupil-centred team. The role is permanent, part-time, 38 weeks per year plus 1 INSET Day, five days a week, 8:30am to 3:30pm with midday duties.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join our team at St Michael's CofE VA Junior School. This is a permanent post, 5 days per week, 38 weeks per year plus 1 INSET Day.
Required for September 2026
Pay: Scale 6 pt 14-18 depending on experience £20,074.30- £21,431.39 (FTE: £29,540-£31,537) Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm (30 hours per week)
As part of this HLTA position you wil be expected to also undertake 30 minutes of Midday duties every day during the lunch hours from 12.15pm to 1.15pm, which will be contracted on a separate MDA contract. (Actual pay £1,471.76 - £1,543.40 per annum)
The successful applicant will be part of a dedicated, child-centred and forward-thinking staff team. As an HLTA you will be expected to teach once every week in one specific year group as well as cover lessons, when needed.
