HLTA - Alternative Provision School Blackpool Immediate Start

Location: Blackpool
Salary: 110 - 135 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term

Are you an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a meaningful impact? This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic and supportive environment, and who is committed to helping young people with complex needs re-engage with education.

About the Role:

• Deliver planned lessons and interventions across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of teaching staff
• Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Work closely with teaching staff to support individual learning plans and classroom delivery
• Lead small group activities and provide tailored support to students with additional needs
• Promote positive behaviour and model resilience and consistency

The Ideal Candidate:

• HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience in a similar role)
• Experience in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEMH environment is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable and disengaged learners
• Calm, patient and adaptable with a nurturing approach
