Job summary

Gap Personnel Limited is recruiting for an HLOP Picker based in Swindon (SN3). The role involves operating MHE/HLOP to retrieve and stock goods at height, picking orders at elevations up to 18 meters, and using RF scanners or digital instructions to fulfil warehouse orders.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid MHE/HLOP certification, be physically fit for high-elevation work, and commit to a Monday–Friday 3pm–midnight shift. Temporary contract with potential permanent opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate HLOP/MHE to retrieve, stock, and move goods at height in warehouses/distribution centres.
• Pick customer orders or stock at elevated levels (typically 14–18 metres).
• Conduct daily safety inspections on the HLOP truck and report faults, while following site safety rules.

Pay Rate: £14.45 p/h

Contract: Temporary ongoing with permanent opportunities available

gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 HLOP picker for the company based in Swindon SN3. The company specialises in delivery, warehousing, and e-commerce fulfilment.

For those that are able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours there may be permanent opportunities available.

Main Duties as a HLOP picker:

• Operates MHE HLOP to retrieve, stock, and move goods at significant heights inside warehouses and distribution centres
• Pick customer orders or handle stock at elevated levels—frequently ranging from 14 to 18 meters high
• Accurately select items using hand-held RF scanners, pick sheets, or digital instructions to fulfil warehouse orders

• Stock Replenishment & Movement
• Conduct daily pre-use and post-use safety inspections on the HLOP truck, report mechanical faults, and follow strict site safety rules

Ideal candidate must have :

• Certification / Training: Valid MHE (Material Handling Equipment) or HLOP/VNA certification is typically preferred
• Physical Fitness: Comfort with working at high elevations and standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment

Fixed shift : Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 3pm – midnight

Hourly Pay Rates

• Basic Rate - £14.45

Successful candidates will have experience working in similar role, previous experience with the use of HLOP is desired. As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on site in line with their health and safety policies.
