About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and topics in line with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, utilizing a variety of teaching resources and strategies, including primary sources and historical interpretations.
- Assess student progress through essays, source analysis, presentations, and class participation, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work within the History department.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.
- A good understanding of the secondary history curriculum and effective teaching methodologies, including the use of historical sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring historical events and figures to life for students.
- A passion for history and the ability to foster critical thinking and analytical skills in learners.
