History Teacher – Flexible Supply Contract – Maidstone
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (until the end of the academic year)

Supply Desk are supporting a dynamic 11–16 mixed secondary school in Maidstone with their search for a dedicated and adaptable History Teacher. This Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school, with a capacity of over 1000 students, are seeking a teacher who can take on full teaching responsibilities from September 2025 until at least Christmas 2025.

The school prides itself on fostering a positive and inclusive environment, with a strong emphasis on staff well-being and workload balance. Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring History lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school standards.
• Teach the AQA syllabus, ensuring lessons cater to mixed-ability groups.
• Take on form tutor responsibilities, supporting students’ personal and academic growth.
• Contribute to the planning and organisation of school trips, enhancing the History curriculum.
• Attend parents' evenings and collaborate with colleagues to drive student progress.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching History at KS3–KS5.
• A passion for delivering dynamic lessons that inspire a love for History.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to taking on full teaching responsibilities.
• Flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of a supply contract.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service) or willingness to apply.
