Job description

Description

History Teacher
MPS/UPS
Full time with part time considered.

Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

Principal: Mandy Crane

We are an Ofsted Good rated 1118 academy with a thriving sixth form and a campus undergoing a transformation based in the friendly South Yorkshire town of Doncaster.

We are proud to say that our recent OFSTED inspection in 2024 cited that the school is a Good school, recognizing its inclusive environment where pupils of every background are provided with opportunities to succeed. We highly value our staff and have established a supportive environment prioritizing staff training and well-being. Our focus is on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased attainment, achievement, and social and emotional development.

We have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health, received the IQM Award, achieved the Eco Schools award, and earned the Leading the Way award for meeting all eight Gatsby Benchmarks to support employability.

We believe we are on a journey towards Outstanding. Help us reach the next level.

We work hard to reduce staff workload, allowing more time in the classroom to focus on our vision of students first, raising standards, and transforming lives.

All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award, with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status.

If you share our vision, join our family.

We have a vacancy for a History teacher and are seeking the right candidate to join our successful, friendly, and dedicated Humanities faculty. Our History team collaborates closely on teaching and learning, providing training and development to teachers and departments within and outside the Outwood Trust. The successful candidate will join a team that consistently achieves successful GCSE outcomes for a diverse student body; we aim to continue this success. Our History team is warm, friendly, and collaborative. We work together to find solutions and support each other in striving for excellent outcomes for all.
