About the Role

An Independent school in Barnet requires a dedicated History Teacher, starting ASAP for a temporary position working 4 days per week. You will deliver engaging history lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a passionate History Teacher seeking a flexible work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging History Teacher lessons, tailored to the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for assessments and examinations.
  • Develop students' understanding of historical concepts and analytical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of history resources.
  • Potentially lead history-related extracurricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
  • Proven experience in teaching history at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility to work within a 4-day week schedule.
