Job description

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a History Teacher to join an OFSTED-rated GOOD Secondary School in Dudley. This Secondary School has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality education and has been praised for its supportive leadership, inclusive environment, and commitment to student progress. The school has modern facilities, well-equipped classrooms, and a collaborative humanities department that works together to create engaging and enriching lessons.

This is a full-time position, starting immediately, teaching History across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) until the summer. The role is ideal for a Secondary Teacher who is passionate about History and enjoys working in a school that promotes academic excellence and student well-being.

Job Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Follow the National Curriculum to ensure high-quality teaching.
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management strategies within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with other Secondary Teachers and department staff.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Recent experience teaching History in a Secondary School.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
  • Proven behaviour management skills to create a positive learning environment.

Working as a History Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you:

  • £160 to £225 per day, which equates to £31,200 to £43,875 per annum based on working full-time for a full school year.
  • The option of PAYE or Umbrella.
