Job Vacancy: Qualified History Teacher for A-Level Politics.
Location: Secondary School, Hatfield (AL7 area).

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive (TBC by hiring manager)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and fully qualified History teacher with a passion for Politics to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Hatfield. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support A-Level students in Politics until Christmas, with the potential for a permanent, full-time position from January 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Teach A-Level Politics to engaged and motivated students
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students in preparing for exams and coursework
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental activities
Requirements
  • Fully qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK
  • Experience teaching A-Level Politics (desirable, but History teachers with a strong understanding of political content will be considered)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student success
  • Strong knowledge of the current A-Level Politics curriculum
  • Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve their potential
