History Teacher - Southampton (Full-Time)

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for extension)
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Are you a passionate and dedicated History Teacher looking to inspire young minds? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a committed History specialist to join a thriving secondary school in the Southampton area from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time teaching position within a supportive and welcoming secondary school. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of learning and critical thinking among students. The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality History lessons that cater to a range of abilities
Develop and adapt teaching materials to engage all learners
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback
Contribute to a positive school environment and uphold behaviour standards
Participate in departmental meetings, training and school initiatives
Requirements:
UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in History
Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
Excellent classroom management skills
A genuine passion for education and student development
