GSL education is looking for a passionate History Teacher with an ability to engage with students in History. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our secondary school community in Sheffield.

Job summary: As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for engaging with students across KS3 and KS4 to help them understand history and its impact on the present, with a specific focus on teaching Geography at KS4.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in History, with a focus on Geography.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
  • Create a positive learning environment and ensure that students adhere to their assignments.
  • Offer students assistance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a History, Geography or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
  • Must have ability to teach Geography at KS4.
  • Effective time management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
