History Teacher - Oxford

Simply Education is excited to be working in partnership with a progressive and supportive secondary school in Oxford that is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. The position is flexible, with both part-time and full-time options available.

About the Role:

As a History Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality lessons that bring the past to life and promote critical thinking and analysis.

• Inspire students to explore historical events, perspectives, and their relevance to the modern world.

• Plan and assess effectively to support student progress and achievement.

• Create an inclusive, well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and enrichment activities.

What We're Looking For:

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be an ECT specialising in History or the Humanities.

• Have experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 (A-Level experience is a bonus).

• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management.

• Be a team player, open to collaboration and continuous professional development.

• Show genuine enthusiasm for History and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning.
