Prospero Teaching is working with a large secondary school in Tameside that is seeking a full-time History Teacher to work in their school. The role will start after the Easter break and will last until July 2025. You will be required to teach history to Key Stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic abilities, delivering engaging lessons that challenge students.

The school offers a large on-site car park and is accessible via reliable public transport links.

This role is open to ECTs and fully qualified teachers with QTS.

• Location: Tameside
• Position: KS3 & KS4 History Teacher
• End date: July 2025

Minimum Rate of Pay:

Dependent on experience and qualifications

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher of History
• Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Experience teaching at Key Stage 3 & 4
• Hold a valid and recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in secondary schools, either permanently or on supply basis; open to ECTs and experienced teachers
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (issued within the last year; training can be provided)
• Up-to-date Prevent awareness training (issued within the last 3 years; training can be provided)
• Up-to-date behaviour management & FGM training (training can be provided)

Eligibility:

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child Barred List check
• DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
• Minimum of two professional references covering the last 2 years
