Since September 2024, all permanent staff at Highcrest have benefitted from a 9-day working fortnight. The concept is simple: you attend work for nine days and get paid for ten. You will be a Teacher of History, who has experience of teaching A Level History (ideally AQA). The ability to teach Politics would be an advantage.

The Humanities Department has experienced significant growth in recent years and now offers History, Geography and Religious Studies at both GCSE and A Level, alongside Law and Politics in Key Stage 5. You will join a team of dedicated subject specialists who share a strong moral purpose and commitment to excellence. Together, we challenge and inspire our students to step beyond their comfort zones and achieve their full potential within a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. We firmly believe that students should not only learn about the Humanities, but experience them through an engaging, enriching and challenging curriculum.
