I am looking for a hardworking and energetic Sports Coach or aspiring Sports Teacher to work in secondary schools across Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates in Sports Science, PE, or coaching disciplines who are looking to gain school-based experience while sharing their passion for sport.

The school is welcoming individuals with a specialism in multiple different disciplines ; such as football, rugby, hockey, cricket, netball, athletics or swimming. You will also be supporting the delivery of PE lessons and extra curricular activities. The role will include, coaching teams, umpiring matches, leading practical sessions and coaching small groups.

This role is Full Time starting September. A great route into teaching or school based roles especially for those considering a future PGCE or teacher training programme. Alternatively, qualified teachers and experienced coaches are very much welcome.

Responsibilities:

• Support PE staff and coach sports sessions.
• Lead or assist in extracurricular activities and school teams
• Promote teamwork, confidence, and positive physical activity.
• Supervise students in practical sessions and sporting events.
• Work alongside teaching staff and collaborate.

Requirements:

• Degree in PE, Sports Science or coaching (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working with young people in sports or education.
• Confident leadership and communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring students through sports
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
