Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Electrician for a long-term electrical programme at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. You will survey and investigate existing electrical systems, then carry out remedial, rectification and upgrade works within a high-profile historic estate.

Candidates should have 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and ECS/CSCS, with strong communication and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• ECS/CSCS card or equivalent.
• Asbestos Awareness certificate.
• Working at Heights certificate.
• Parliament Pass preferred; renewals welcome.
• Experience on commercial electrical installations.
• Good communication and basic IT literacy.
• Ability to work independently and maintain records.
• Awareness of working in live public buildings and heritage sites.

Responsibilities

• Surveying, testing and assessing existing electrical systems.
• Tracing and identifying circuits and components.
• Carrying out rectification and remedial works.
• Installing electrical metering.
• Completing electrical upgrades and installations.
• Updating electrical drawings and schematics.
• Recording survey findings clearly and providing updates/reports.
• Providing technical guidance and site communications.
• Following all site safety procedures.
