Integrated Pathology Solutions LLP is an innovative joint-venture Pathology service between Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This partnership delivers a high quality Pathology service through collaboration between three Trusts for the benefit of patient and service users. The successful potholder will be employed directly by Harrogate Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical secretary to join our Histopathology Team at Harrogate & District Hospital. The Histopathology laboratory provides a clinically lead diagnostic Histopathology and Non-Gynae Cytology service to HDFT.
The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with other Histopathology secretarial colleagues to provide an efficient and effective secretarial service for the Histopathology Department. The post-holder must effectively provide all secretarial and administerial duties required to support and ensure continuity of service provision within the Histopathology Department.

The post is for up to 37.5 hours per week.

To undertake all secretarial and administration duties required by the Histopathology Department, in accordance with the Department's written standard operating procedures and meeting the written standards for timeliness and typographical accuracy.
To produce histopathology and cytology reports, irrespective of source; using audio, copy and dictation methods, and using word processing and bespoke laboratory based systems.
Organise, attend, produce and circulate minutes and all documentation for Histopathology Department and/or adhoc meetings.
