Job summary

Circle Health Group, via PureLab-UK, is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist (Histology) to lead specialist investigations, ensure accurate diagnostic reporting and uphold patient safety. You will work with Pathologists, clinicians and laboratory teams, performing routine and complex tests while maintaining ISO 15189 quality standards.

Holders of HCPC registration with a Biomedical Scientist degree, CPD, and strong analytical abilities are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Essential Biomedical Scientist BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification acceptable for HCPC registration, and current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to patient safety.
• Understanding of quality management, IQC, EQA, ISO 15189 and UKAS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic testing and specialist practice: receive, prepare, process, analyse and report specimens.
• Validate and authorise results within competency frameworks; investigate unexpected or potentially erroneous results and escalate as required.
• Contribute to audits, inspections, incident investigations, corrective and preventative actions, quality records and continuous improvement.
• Train and supervise staff; support induction and competency assessment.
