University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Histology Department at the Royal Derby Hospital site, with potential cross-site work. The role involves data entry, sample handling, equipment upkeep, stock replenishment and safe handling of human tissue and chemicals.

Training is provided in-house with competency assessments. The role supports a busy service operating Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work on a rolling

Qualifications

• Good general education including English and Science.
• IT literate with ability to perform data entry and admin tasks.
• Able to follow protocols and work well in a busy team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment.
