A vacancy has arisen for a Labourer to join our team within our contract at Daldowie Fuel Plant.

CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT

SALARY: £12.24 PER HOUR

Drax Power owns & operates Daldowie fuel plant in Uddingston, Glasgow, which processes sewage sludge into a waste-derived fuel.

Hargreaves Industrial Services has a contract with Drax Power to support main operational & maintenance activities at Daldowie Fuel Plant. These activities include plant maintenance, tanker services, general cleaning, labouring & housekeeping duties.

The role encompasses the following duties:

• Cleaning of filters & other associated plant items
• Operate jet wash machine
• Carry out general labouring duties

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:

• Safety passport or equivalent
• Trained in Manual Handling, Risk Assessment, and COSHH
• Positive attitude to safety
• Flexible approach to work
• A strong team player
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Understanding of health & hygiene rules in the work environment
• Previous experience in sewage or water treatment environments
