Job Description for a Housekeeper Nanny Based in Edenbridge, Kent

Position: Permanent

Number of Children: B13 and G10

Pets: 2 cats plus tropical fish

Salary: £18-22 gross per hour. £26,208-32,032 gross per annum, depending on experience.

Holiday: Statutory paid holiday

Start Date: ASAP

Hours Required: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 1.30pm-6.30pm; Tuesday, Thursday: 1.30pm-8.00pm. Total 28 hours. Family can be flexible on start but not finish time. More hours available if you are a competent cook.

Driver: Yes, and must have own car.

Summary:

Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper who has previously worked within a private home. The ideal candidate will be reliable, enjoy being around children, possess a good eye for detail, and have good communication skills.

Duties to include:

• Cleaning of the home and keeping the home tidy
• Laundry and ironing
• Running errands such as food shopping
• Dealing with contractors as required
• Cooking of family meals
• School collection
• Pet care, including feeding a pig classified as a pet for the family (desirable but not essential)

The role may vary depending on the candidate. If a candidate can cook, there may be more cooking responsibilities, and hours could increase if necessary. If a candidate connects well with the children, it could involve more 'childcare' during school holidays, such as taking the children for day trips.
