Job Role: Hire Fitter/Driver at Travis Perkins

As a Hire Fitter/Driver in Travis Perkins, you will play a vital role in supporting our Hire Manager to ensure compliance with all mechanical and electrical processes related to repairing and testing tools and equipment to the Travis Perkins Tool Hire standards.

What will I be doing?

1. Ensuring all tools and hire equipment are tested, safe for use, and readily available for hire.
2. Supporting your Hire Manager in managing all aspects of their department and business.
3. Delivering and collecting a wide variety of tools & equipment to our customers.
4. Using your knowledge of our products and services to be a pivotal contact for customers, nurturing relationships, understanding their needs, and offering expert advice and alternatives to maximize sales.
5. Adhering to all Tool Hire processes and procedures, including audits and inspections, with safety being a top priority.

What experience do you need?

Previous experience within the Plant and Hire Industry or a good understanding of electrical, petrol, and diesel equipment is advantageous but not essential. We value transferable skills such as great customer service and sales experience. A Class 2 license is preferred but not mandatory, as there are opportunities to learn.
