As a Hire Fitter/Driver in Travis Perkins, you will play a vital role in supporting our Hire Manager to meet and be compliant with all mechanical, electrical processes and procedures regarding repairing and testing tools and equipment to the Travis Perkins Tool Hire standard.

What will I be doing?

• Ensuring all tools and hire equipment are tested, safe for use, and readily available for hire.
• Supporting your Hire Manager in managing all aspects of their department and business.
• Delivering and collecting a wide variety of tools & equipment to our customers.
• Using your knowledge of our products and services to be a key contact for customers, nurturing relationships, understanding their needs, and offering expert advice, including recommending alternatives to maximize sales.
• Adhering to all Tool Hire processes, procedures, audits, and inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

What experience do you need?

Previous experience within the Plant and Hire Industry or a good understanding of electrical, petrol, and diesel equipment would be advantageous but not essential. Transferable skills such as great customer service and sales experience are valued. A full clean UK driving license is required.
