Our client is a well-established provider of high-quality plant equipment, renowned for exceptional customer service and reliability. They are seeking a proactive and ambitious Hire Controller to manage client hire processes and support sales activities, with opportunities for career progression into roles such as Area Sales Manager. The Role:

As a Hire Controller, you will manage client hire enquiries, drive sales, and ensure efficient equipment hire operations. This role combines strong customer service with sales acumen, including occasional regional customer visits to build relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling client hire enquiries and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Chasing quotes and collaborating with the sales team to meet targets.
  • Upselling equipment and services to maximise hire agreements.
  • Coordinating equipment hire logistics for timely delivery and collection.
  • Visiting regional customers using the company pool car to strengthen relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and hire activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in the plant hire sector (desirable; full training provided).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with an interest in developing sales skills.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for regional visits).
  • Ambition to progress into roles such as Area Sales Manager.
